Josh turned 30 on December 12! Its crazy how old we are both getting. We had a fun time celebrating his big day. We went around to all of the places that give free stuff for your birthday:
1. Friday night we went to red robin (get a free burger)
Saturday ( his actual birthday) we went:
1. Krispy Kreme (free dozen glazed)
2. Joe's Bbq ( free sandwich, cake and drink)
3. Dave and Busters ( 20 dollar playing card free)
Then we met up with the family for dinner and went to the Tempe Town lakes holiday boat parade. When we were done with that we went over to the parents and my mom made home made cinnamon rolls for us. It was a great day, but it sure was enough to give us a food hangover.
Joshy- you will always be young to me. I love you more than anything in the world and feel so lucky to have you as my husband.

Penny for your thoughts
So I was just thinking about a few things and thought I would post all my random thoughts, lucky you if you are the one reading this!
1. I love this time of year when it is so cold outside. The cold weather brings in a winter smell that reminds me of Christmas and I love the smell of Christmas!
2. I am so totally freaked out about having kids and being a mom. However, being a teacher and working with kids has made me a little less scared. Being around kids all day has shown me how sweet, silly, innocent, adoreable kids can be; I love that they get so excited over the simplest things. Yes I do have some students that have also shown me how rude and disrespectful kids can be, but I am focusing on the sweet ones.
3. I am loving our new house! I am so happy that we are at the stage where we could finally buy a house.
4. I hate moving and painting with a passion. No wonder people who paint houses charge so much, it is the worst chore.
5. I was so excited to put up my Christmas tree. I had to post pone it a few weeks because of the move, but Sunday we got the tree out of the garage and put it up. I was about to put the ornaments on when Josh plugged it in and the lights no longer work :( what a total bummer. So I still don't have my tree done yet and its only 16 days till Christmas.
6. Had a pregnancy scare this month and now I am in constant research mode about babies and pregnancy. I am the type of person who likes to be fully prepared and aware of whats going on. So although I am not planning on getting pregnant for a while, I have been picking out my doctor and hospital--yes I am crazy and I am starting to annoy myself for being so crazy.
I think that is enough random thoughts for now. Happy Holidays!

Black Friday Survival Guide
I have been doing black friday for the past few years and I am so in LOVE with it. My mom and sister go with me every year and we score some great deals. If you want to join in on the fun this is what I recommend:
1. Put on a pair of running shoes- this serves 2 purposes, one is for comfort--because you will be on your feet for hours--and the other is for speed--if you want that deal you may need to do lots of speed walking.
2. Wear layers-the morning starts off freezing and you need some serious warm clothes, then at about 9 its warms up and you can start shedding layers. By 11 you can hang out in short sleeves.
3. Scout the ads out and make a plan and a schedule--THIS IS A MUST!
Have Fun!
Oh and this year for black friday Josh and I spent more than we ever have because we needed stuff for the house. We managed to get 2 TV's, a vacuum, a steam mop, sheets, down comforter, towels, bath mats and some clothes too. Thanks to my mom and sister for always making black friday so much fun!

Thoughts on Turning 25
So I am all about birthdays- a day designated where people spoil you and make you feel special-what's not to love. However, the thought of turning 25 made me feel old ( even thought its not) and then I concluded this: I love where my life is at for being 25. I have my B.A. degree and a job that I adore, I am happily married to a husband who has a good job and will finish school this next year and we are moving into our first house. So I decided I feel ok about being 25. It's age 26 that scares me because that means I need to start having babies...yikes! I can't put off growing up forever. I had a fabulous birthday and I will post all about it when I stop being lazy and get the pictures loaded to my computer.

Thank You Bleach Wipes!
The downside of working with kidos is there are germs everywhere! We have already had a few students at my school with the swine flu and kids are getting sick left and right with colds. Last year as a first year teacher I got sick constantly, but this year I have wisened up :). Thats right! I use bleach wipes everyday before I eat my lunch and afterschool. I wipe down the door handles, light switch, computer, desk....and so far I have steered clear of any sickness. So I will keep my fingers crossed that I can make to Christmas Break with no flu bugs. Thank you bleach wipes for saving me from the creepy kid germs! What is your trick to staying well during the winter?

October break
Ah..the perks of being a teacher. I had all last week off work and took a trip with Josh, Reina and my mom to San Diego. We kept busy and had a blast. We went to the swap meet, I just love cheap shopping, BalBoa park, beach and Disneyland--what a fantastic week!
Disneyland was decorated with Halloween decor and so much fun, we even got free skeleton face paintings--except for Josh. Haunted Mansion was our favorite ride because they change the whole thing to the Nightmare before christmas theme. Unfortuneatly story book was closed :( but Small World open and they added some Disney Characters in it, adoreable! While at Disneyland we ran into Wes and Farnz which was also a nice little suprise!
They had some fun plant at Balboa Park, we loved the huge leaf plants
So we stumbled upon Octoberfest while in Cali.

Parachute!
The number one question I get when I tell people I am a P.E. is, " Do you do the parachute?" It seem to be everyone's favorite P.E. activity and it was mine too. So I just thought I would let everyone know that this week I'ver been doing parachute with my classes. When I tell my classes that they are doing parachute they start screaming and jumping up and down with excitement...not even exaggerating here. Who knew a parachute could be so magical!

A Few things I Love Right Now
1. Skippy Natural Peanut butter- I swear I eat a tablespoon of this daily, its so yummy. And the good news is it is healthier than regular peanut butter but there is no need to stir it. Way to go Skippy!
2. The Hunger Games Novels- I was so addicted I read both of them in one week. They are a great time, but I warn you that you may not be able to put them down once you get started. And then once you finish them you will have to wait for the 3rd to come out and I am already anxious.
3. The Story Book Ride at Disneyland- I am going to Disneyland in a few weeks and looking forward to this ride. I wonder why no one ever talks about it. It is so cute. They have all these mini villages where the princess live. Like a mini Cinderella Castle and mini trees--which by the way are real. How could you not love it. If you have never been on this ride you should really give it a chance.
4. Winter time- I am counting down the days until Ocotober because life during the fall/winter is so much fun! I love the holidays, the weather and the time off work. Oh yes its a the best!
5. Pita Jungle Restaurant- I have never ordered anything I didn't like. It's so yummy and when you eat you feel like you are eating something healthy. Warning: it can leave you with bad breath because of the onion and garlic in most of the food, but it is worth. Just bring some gum for after the meal.
6. Haagan Dazs- I had a milkshake from there a couple of weeks ago. It was my first time...and it was love at first drink. I serioulsy have not had anything more delectable. I haven't had another one since but I think about all the time. Indulge yourself and by one, it will be the yummmiest minutes of your life.

off to utah for Candice's Wedding
Last weekend the Miller family went back to our homeland--Utah--for my cousin's wedding. It was a pretty hectic weekend, but she looked so gorgeous and happy. Plus I had fun spending time with Devin ( which I don't get much time with him) and with my mom. The top picture is me as a bridemaid with my best friend/cousin Candice. You can't really tell in the picture but they built a false ceiling out of lights for the reception and it was so pretty!
I love the times I get to be with my big brother, it brings me back to our fun time when we were younger! Don't judge the picture to harshly, we were running on 4 hours of sleep and no breakfast and thats something Devin and I just don't do!

New Moon..getting anxious
So I saw a new preview for the New Moon movie and I seriously got butterflies in my stomach because I am so excited for it! Yes, I know I am a total nerd. The preview had more scenes with Jacob, so if you are a Jacob fan you should check it out. If you are an Edward fan then your lame. Just kidding...sort of.

Thank you Kirkland Home Store
The most fun thing about buying a house is I finally get to go shopping and pick out the decor--loves it! Went shopping with my mom and sister this weekend. When we went to Kirkland Home store it was love at first sight! Everything was on sale and that is my favorite, I am all about bargain shopping. I was able to buy a huge picture for our living room and one for the bathroom for 50% of the original price! I think I will be visiting that store weekly unitl I get the house...don't tell Josh :)

Back to Life at P.E. teacher
Good bye summer, hello work. I've been back to work for 3 weeks and its going great so far. I am totally worn out and trying to get used to being a full time worker again. Summer definitely spoiled me. I felt like a teenager because I was able to sleep in every day. So I would wake up at 7:30 and then the day was free for me to do whatever I wanted, free from responsibility :) Could life get any better than that? Plus I was getting paid to be on summer and go to thy gym, go on vacation and go shopping. Oh how I loved you summer! But work is going to be great this year too, I love my job and I hope to have a successful school year. Now I am counting down till October--I get a week off and am going to Disneyland with the family!

We decided to take the plunge!
Yes it's true we finally did it! No I am not pregnant, if thats what you are thinking ( do you know me at all) I am talking about the fact that Joshy and I bought our first house. We have been on the search for last few months. We put offers on houses but it just wasn't working out. My mom said we should check out new builds, even though they were a little higher than our price range the payments were still within our range. So we found our beauty in Skyline Ranch, translation-we are moving out to the boonies A.K.A queen creek. Our house will be done in November, Happy Holidays to us! We are really excited and I can't wait till we get to go to the design center and pick everything out. Josh and I are growing up...so maybe pregnancy will actually happen one day too!

Fireworks, Happy 4th
This 4th of July the family went to Lake Arrowhead California. It was so fun to see Devin and Ruthann because I didn't see them all summer. The weather was nice and it was so pretty up there. We went to a parade, street fair and fireworks on the 4th, can't beat that!
No we are not drunk, it just looks like that way
We made puff paint shirts and I wish we would of got a close up because Devin's was really funny. Anyways I am so grateful to live here in America and have a life full of opportunity and freedom. God bless the USA!

Summer Update
Summer has been fabulous! I wish it could last forever (beside the 100 degree wheather that is). I've done a few little vacations and today I am going to sun splash with Lisa--loves it!
Here is the update:
Mom, Dad, Reina and I went up to Utah for a few days to visit with family and friends. Mom and I went to do a session at the gorgeous Salt Lake Temple. After the session Reina and Shanna were meeting up with us to visit all the neat places around temle square...
Unfortuneately we got caught in the rain instead, so we did not get to tour temple square. Rain seems to follow me on all my vacations this summer!
Joshy and I went to Flagstaff the last weekend in may. We were so excited to be in cool wheather and do some hiking and picnicking but it rained while we were there so...

Schools out for Summer!!!!!!
Today is my last day! Hooray I made it through my first year of teaching. It went alot more smoothly than I expected. I heard so many 1st year horror stories, but i really enjoyed my first year. I learned lots and hopefully I will be a better teacher next year. For those of you that don't know AZ cut thousands of teachers for next year. Districts were cutting 1st year and 2nd year teachers. I just have to say that I am so blessed to have a job next year and I feel so gratefull. I really love teaching P.E. and I thank Heavenly Father every day for my job. Now is the fun part of teaching--Summer! Time to sleep in and chill out, its gonna be good!
Mothers Day--What the ...
So Josh was going to take his mom to Disneyland for Mothers day this year. He planned it all out last year and he and his mom were both so excited--she lives in Texas so they only get to see eachother about once a year. She made the long treck from home to visit ( 16 hour drive-Yikes) us on Wednesday. they were planning on taking off on Friday for Disneyland. Well this is where the story gets a little crazy. Thursday Josh ended up leaving work early to go the Dentist and he had to get a root canal and crown. The whole side of his face was swollen ( i tried to get a picture for the bog but he refused it) so he was one pain killers and anti biatics. Then Friday morning his mom woke up with the flu. Needless to say they didn't make it to Disneyland. Instead they laid in bed together dozing off and watching tv. I guess Disneyland wasn't meant to be, but they still had so much fun just being together. thanks for visisting mom and come again soon we love to see you!

Easter
Easter was wonderful this year. My dad's parents come in town from Utah so I got to spend some time with the grandparents and I just love em to pieces! On Friday we went to the Easter Pagent and it was really great because I haven't gone since I was in high school. Then on Saturday we hung out at Devin's and played games, did an Easter basket exchange and my mom and dad hid eggs for all us to do an Easter Egg hunt--I love holidays with the family!
We made easter chocolates with grammy. We used to to that every year with her when we lived in Utah.

Celebrate #3
So we were able to get away during spring break to celebrate our 3rd year anniversary. We wanted to go somewhere in AZ, but it was way cheaper to go to Laughlin ( again). It may be a little white trash, but I have to say that I am in love with that place! Joshy and I had a perfect time being together. He surprised me with a pedicure appointment, got me a gift card to Bath and body and took me shopping there and also took me to get the Twilight movie. He spoiled me and I had a wonderful weekend. Don't worry I definitely spoiled him too...

3 years of Lovin
March 9 is our 3 year anniveray! We are hoping to get out of town over spring break and celebrate. But we decided to watch our wedding video and finally eat (one bite) of our wedding cake. Yes I know you are supposed to eat the cake for your first year anniversary but we forgot...and our second year we forgot so here we are for our 3rd year and we remembered. And it didn't taste bad.
Toasting to our 3 wonderful years of marriage. May we always be this happy and in love!
Lets have our cake and eat it too (hope its not freezer burnt)....
so I don't think Josh would agree with me that the cake tasted ok because he looks like he might puke in this picure...

Valentines--Feel the love!
Valentines was perfect this year! Josh and I both had Monday off ( thank you American presidents for that one) so we decided to go out of town for Valentines. Our destination: Laughlin Nevada, which is a closer, way cheaper, old person version of Las Vegas but we love it! We did lots of walking along the river because the weather was fantastic, went shopping, ate lots of food and just had a blast spending the weekend together. On Valentines Joshy bought mugs and paint for us to decorate mugs for eachother, I thought that ideas was adoreable. Then we got dressed up and went out for a four course meal at one of the casino restaurants and it was really yummy. Here are a few pics from our trip...

Historic Home Tour
2 weeks ago my mom, grandma and sister went on the historic home tour in Mesa. It was such a fun time! The houses we saw were so adoreable and its always a good time when you have a girls day. Seeing all the houses made me want to buy a house so bad...I can't wait to finally have a house of my very own. However, I don't think it will be quite as cute as the historic houses were.

Valentines Girls Night?
So I was thinking it could be fun to do a girls night the weekend before Valentines day. We could do another sexy one--learn a new strip dance, talk about some hot gift ideas to get the hubby and hang out--or we could do just a regular old girl night. Let me know what you gals would prefer. I want to do it Sat Feb 7th at my place ( if we do the sexy one we can take turns dancing on my pole). Please let me know as soon as you can and then I will get it all planned. I love hanging with my girls!

Christmas
Our family does a Christmas Eve Celebration every year. We started by going out to eat some yummy mexican food. Reina and I wanted to get everyone ugly sweaters to wear for Christmas eve but when we went to the thrift store they were all cleaned out. So we bought these 3 dollar sweatshirts and puff painted them--yes we love to do ridiculous things! Here is the family with our gorgeous sweatshirts. After lunch we did the real white elephant game, told some Christmas stories and then Devin and Ruthann opened their gifts. To end the night we watched a christmas movie. It was a perfect night!
Every Christmas morning my mom takes a picture of the kids before we open gifs. Yes we alway look a little zombie like in the picture.
Joshy and I Christmas morning after getting ready.
Christmas night Joshy and I go home and open our gifts from eachother. I asked for a travel pillow for Christmas because I like to put it between by knees when I sleep. And my sweet husband got me the pillow and made me a barbie pillow case ( with my moms help of coure). Its so cute and comfy. He also got me lots of other good stuff--he always spoils me every year and he never sticks to the budget ( naughty). But I am the one that reapes the benefits so I gess thats ok.
Christmas is my favorite time of year and I am sad that is gone. I got 2 weeks off of work and so did most of my family so we got to hang out lots. I would say my Christmas season was fabulous!

Running Partner?
So I have decided to get back into running. However, I really would love a partner or group to run with. I am going to do runs every Saturday morning at 8:30 starting Jan 17. If you are interested in joining me just let me know and I will set up a meeting place that works for everyone. I am going to start with 3 miles ( right now I can only run 1 so the 3 miles might be some walking and some running) and I run slow usually 12 minute miles. I am training so I can run the whiskey row half marathon in Prescott on May 2. So if you decide to be my running mate you could also do the half marathon with me if you want.
