Josh turns 29

There is the birthday boy! My mom made him a hot dog cake, because hot dogs are his favorite ( and bacon, yes, he's a real health freak!)

For his party we went got 6 different value menu chicken sandwiches and tried a piece of each and rated them. The verdict..go for church's chicken sandwich it was the winner, Wendys came in second ( but it wasn't spicy) and last place is Jack n the Box. We had a good time but all that mayonaise they put on the chicken sandwiches is disgusting--no wonder I never order them--I would recomend getting it without mayo. Here is a picture of us stuffing our faces.

Flat tire=a clean house

So Josh is always telling me that he wants to teach me how to change a flat tire in case of an emergency. But I kept putting it off, I mean isn't the point of having a husband around to do things like that? Well yesterday morning on my way to work I got a flat tire, luckily I was only about 3/4 a mile from my house. Unfortunately Josh left to work early and was already gone...CRAP! So I parked the car by the mailboxes and walked home. I had to call in a sub for work. The good news is I got lots of cleaning done that I've been needing to do and I got all of my Christmas gifts wrapped. The bad news--besides missing work--was after Josh got off work I had to stand in the rain as Josh explained how to change a flat tire (But he still changed it for me! ) I love him!

Poinsettias and Parties

This weekend the family went to the poinsettia festival. It was free to get in; they had all different types and sizes of poinsettias. Then they took us on a little trackter ride to their poinsettia green house. It was a lot of fun and we all bought some little flowers. The festival inspired mom to go get a real Christmas tree--loves it--so after the festival we went to home depot and got a tree. It smells so yummy!

That night we went to my work Christmas party. They had a photo booth that they made everyone go in and get a picture, so here it is...

I gave my heart to last Christmas

Last Christmas was a total blast. The whole family went to Disney World for 8 days! And then we came home Dec 20th and had Christmas a few days later. I must say that I think Christmas 2007 takes the cake!

Thanks for Black Friday

Thanksgiving was a good time. We went up to the grandparents cabin for our foodfest. We were supposed to have a cookie contest--which Reina and I really did not want to do--but we did it to be nice. So we made a huge cookie pie, which was actually super yummy if I do say so myself. It may have won a place in the contest, except when we got to the cabin there was no contest after all ( How annoying). Now the best part of Thanksgiving is Black Friday. Mom, Reina and I go every year. The top pic is of us at 3am--yes you saw that right--at Khols. It may be really early and lots of standing in line, but it is so worth it in the end. I got a down comforter for 35 bucks, some ulta eyeliner for a buck and some cocktail dresses for 2 dollars! I also got some stuff for Joshy but I can't disclose those items at this time. Anyways I would reccommend trying out Black Friday cause its the best!!!

Midnight Show

So Reina and I went to the Twilight Midnight showing and it was a total blast! We made shirts for the occasion--yes we are nerds. We both love Jacob, so Reina made a shirt that said JB on the front and Love on the back. Unfortunately you can't see it because she did black letters on a black shirt; she regrets to this day. And for me, since Jacob isn't a huge character in Twilight, I gave a shout out to Carlisle. I do think he is really great and I love him. I mean, I love Edward too, but that would betray my love for Jacob if I made an Edward shirt. Ok, enough of my ridiculous banter...the movie was great( of course the book is better, but it always is). In fact, after I saw the movie, I had a craving to see it again. So josh took me on Saturday. Reina also saw it again on Sat. too. And I have to confess...I want to see it again. I know its a little crazy but something about Twilight is additing, first the books and now this. If you haven't seen the movie you should check it out.

Birthday Party

My cowgirl party was a blast! Thanks to all my girls who came, I always love to see my girlfriends! We decorated cowgirl hats--they were so gorgeous I think we could start selling them at a boutique ( see the top pic). And look at this adorable cake devin and ruthann gave me--it matches the country theme of the party, they always give the most thoughtful gifts. I had a great time, but next time I think we need some line dancing.

Happy Birthday to me!

So I had a fabulous birthday! It all started when I arrived home from work and my door was decorated with balloons and gift, as you can see from the picture above. My mom and sister came to do that while I was at work, that's why they are my favorite! Then Joshy and I went up to Payson to spend the weekend together. We went for a hike and man, are we out of shape! P.S. my goal is to hike lots this winter if anyone wants to join me. Then we went out to a yummy lunch. When we got back to the cabin Josh had all these fun, cheesy activities planned. We made shirts together, he called it arts and crafts time ( see picture above). Then he gave me a pedicure and painted my toe nails. Which was so thoughtful, but I definitely don't think he should go pro anytime soon. After that he gave me my presents and had a little birthday cake which was the cutest! That night we watched a barbie movie--yes its true I love barbie still! We had so much fun together just being silly all weekend. I have the best husbee ever! Thanks Joshy! On Sunday we went over to the parents and they gave me gifts and spoiled me too, I am one lucky girl. And this saturday is my birthday party. For those of you who can't tell I am so in LOVE with my birthday!

Halloween H2O

This halloween was a pretty good time. The picture with Josh and I as the banana and french maid is from Jenny's party. I kept saying Josh should dress up as a butler to match me, or at least a candlestick, but he really wanted to buy the banana costume instead.

On the weekend of Halloween, my family went up to my grandparents cabin in payson. We did a little party and we decided to have everyone dress up with a highschool theme. Mom and Dad are coaches, Ruthann is a track star, Devin is a Prom king, I am a gothic chick, Reina is the preppy smarty pants and Josh is a super creepy faculty member. We had a fun time making carmel apples and haging out!

Take a hike

So after having the flu this week, I was anxious to get out and get some exercise. Joshy and I decided to go on hike since the weather is finally cooling down. We were headed to Usery(no idea how to spell that one) park, but Josh took the wrong road. So after a 40 minute detour down Power to the middle of nowhere, we finally found our way( just a tip, drive down Ellsworth not Power). Unfortunately by the time we got to the trail, we were only able to hike for 30 minutes since the sun was setting. Kind of a bummer after paying 6 bucks--a little steep for my taste-- to get in the park. But if your looking for a fun hike that gets the heart pumping and is not really serious check out the wind caves trail ( maybe next time Josh and I will actually get to make it to the top!)

HSM 3: Go Wildcat!

Elisha- So I was pretty excited to go see HSM 3--i'm not gonna front about it. I thought it was a good time! It was definitely a step up from the 2nd one, which kind of sucked. The dance numbers were hotter this time around. They had a really fun prom musical that I loved as well as a duet with Zac and Corbin ( I love a guy with dance moves). I would reccommend this movie for some fun entertainment. Me and Reina had some good laughs. My grade is a B.

Reina-ok ladies i totally put on my wildcats jersey and tore it up at hsm 3! i got like 5 jocks asking for my digits so... i liked the musical. Zac Efron looks great in jeans yes. He is super cheesy you bet. I would say all in all that the movie taught me a lot. check it out!
